P21 works at Reynella Primary School

Building contractor, HT Constructions Services Pty Ltd is on site at Reynella Primary School as part of round one Primary Schools for the 21st Century (P21) works.

Reynella Primary School will be receiving a new general learning area of eight classrooms and a covered outdoor learning area (COLA).

A temporary access road has been built to the reserve and demolition work has recently been completed.

Over the coming weeks, earth works will commence to include under floor works such as plumbing and pouring of the concrete slab.

The additional works has resulted in HT Constructions Services Pty Ltd employing a new site supervisor.

Ms Kathy Smyth, Deputy Principal, said everyone is really looking forward to working in the new general learning area as it will provide better flexibility for staff and students to further develop Middle Schooling practices, such as team teaching.

Ms Smyth also said there is also much excitement about the new COLA.

“The school community will use the space as a multi purpose area, to include outdoor concerts, tennis coaching and other out of hours school sports through its long time running Out of School Hours Care program, irrespective of the weather,” said Ms Smyth.
